Effective leadership is essential when inciting change within your organisation but knowing how to lead the process of transformation, where changes can be successfully implemented or even where to start can be intimidating for those in these leadership positions.
This course is designed to help guide those at the forefront of organisations who would like to bring about effective change but perhaps aren’t sure where to start, using a case-in-point method pioneered at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Part of the Leadership and Management series, this one-day course on Transformational Leadership will give attendees the opportunity to share and work through the leadership issues on real life problems that they are currently facing.

Clair is passionate about excellent Public Services and began her career in the Civil Service, quickly rising to senior positions. After working as a Director of a Charity, Clair now delivers leadership, strategy and policy training across various Government departments and other organisations.
Clair’s career began in the Civil Service, where she worked in the Department for Constitutional Affairs (Now Ministry of Justice), the Home Office, and the Government Office for the South East.
Clair rose quickly to hold senior roles and worked closely with Ministers to lead complex projects during turbulent and challenging times. Her expertise is in development and improvement work with senior leaders and their teams, as well as managing collaborative projects and delivering within complex organisational structures.
More recently Clair has been involved in delivering extensive training for many Public Sector organisations and Government departments. She runs popular bespoke versions of our open courses for a wide range of clients including the Biotechnological and Biological Sciences Research Council, Bromley Borough Council, Medical Research Council and the IOPCC.
Clair is an associate tutor on the UCL Public Policy MSC, an advisor to the What Works Centre for Wellbeing, on the peer review panel for the Evidence and Policy Journal, and a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Higher Education Academy.
