NewHow to be an Effective and Creditable Candidate: Behaviour and Strength Based Interviews
This course is highly valuable for anyone seeking to improve their job interview skills, particularly those who may feel anxious or unsure about how to present themselves effectively. Designed to be interactive and participative, the module offers learners the chance to actively engage in the learning process through practical exercises. This hands-on approach builds confidence and helps individuals develop the communication skills needed to perform well under pressure.
A central feature of the course is the STAR technique—Situation, Task, Action, Results—which provides a structured method for answering Success Profile behaviour-based interview questions clearly and effectively. Learners will gain experience using STAR to highlight their achievements in a way that resonates with interviewers and demonstrates their suitability for the role.
Throughout the event participants have an opportunity to discuss items such as body language, tone, and phrasing, allowing them to refine their delivery and approach. This is further enhanced by identifying actions for improvement, enabling learners to leave the course with a clear plan.
Whether new to behaviour and strengths-based interviews or seeking to enhance their existing skills, this module explores some interview tools as well as the confidence needed to make a strong impression and improve their chances of success.
