Persuasive Storytelling

"The trainer was excellent, their knowledge and presentation was great".

VisitBritain

Stories are the most fundamental form of communication between people. Our understanding of the world and the people in it, our beliefs and values, are shaped by the stories we hear and tell. In a world in which to much communication is just the transfer of information, telling persuasive stories which engage your audience’s emotion and imagination enables your message to be heard and remembered.

This course explores why stories are so fundamental to how we communicate with other people effectively. By sharing what stories resonate with them personally, participants will investigate archetypes of story structure, and how awareness of an audience and thoughtful use of language can have a memorable emotional impact.

Participants will learn techniques for changing how they present ideas through considering the expectations, emotions and potential objections of the intended audience. This will enable participants to develop the power to create and tell persuasive stories to people in their Organisation and beyond.
