To help participants think beyond the conventional idea of retirement as the point at which work stops. The workshop explores the different roles that work and contribution might play in later life, from stopping completely to working differently, contributing through boards or volunteering, or developing something entirely new.

The emphasis is not on “how to get a job after retirement”. Instead, participants are encouraged to design a next chapter that reflects their priorities for money, purpose, people, challenge, freedom and identity.

Key Training Features:

• Separate leaving a current job, stopping work altogether and starting to take a pension.
• Identify what they want work and contribution to provide in later life.
• Recognise a wider range of paid and unpaid options after their current career.
• Identify the skills, experience and networks they could take into a new context.
• Translate their career experience into a proposition that makes sense outside their current organisation.
• Assess potential post-retirement options against lifestyle, financial and personal considerations.
• Create a practical first step for exploring their preferred next chapter.
