NewMaking Mental Health Everyone’s Business
Mental and emotional health is an area that has had increased attention in the last 20 years widening our understanding but more importantly humanizing our felt experiences. The 2020 global pandemic has once again brought the awareness of emotional health to the surface. Many of us were trapped in our pain as we experienced a number of losses and struggled with not having a clear definitive end to the situation. We were left bare with difficult feelings and little to no access to our usual comforts. Old fears resurfaced and confidence was lost. For many people, we learnt how important connections and relationships were in making life more bearable. We connected with new options we hadn’t considered before and have even gone on to re-prioritise our life in favour of a new work-life balance.
This course is an introduction to mental health and emotional wellbeing. Its aim is to help you to have some techniques to better improve your own mental health and well-being and support you in developing a better work-life balance.
Making Mental Health Everyone’s Business is a new online course within our Professional Development series. At the Civil Service College, we tailor our courses to each attendee’s role and organisations, ensuring that each delegate gets the most out of the training. Our courses and trainers are continuously updated and evaluated to ensure that we are always delivering the best service possible.
