Protocol and Diplomacy
This workshop is designed to equip government officials with the essential knowledge and skills needed to operate effectively in diplomatic and international settings. Participants will begin by exploring the foundations of protocol and diplomacy, understanding their historical development and modern relevance. Emphasis will be placed on how these practices shape government conduct, strengthen international relations, and uphold state reputation.
The workshop then introduces key aspects of diplomatic practice and international law, showing how these principles apply to participants’ professional roles. Practical training in cross-cultural communication and etiquette will enable officials to confidently engage with diverse international audiences while respecting cultural differences.
Special focus will be given to the organisation and management of official ceremonies and state functions. Participants will learn how to arrange events for dignitaries in line with diplomatic tradition while ensuring efficiency and precision. In addition, the workshop will address the use of protocol during crises and high-profile media events. Officials will gain strategies to manage public image, handle sensitive interactions, and maintain composure under pressure.
