As the government prepares to launch its new NHS contact trace app, old questions about privacy have come back into the light. The COVID-19 contact tracing app, currently on a trial run in the Isle of Man, allows for users to be alerted when a person they’ve come into contact with has contracted the coronavirus. Whilst it is an important system to combat the virus, the personal information needed for it to work can be sensitive.
