Building Strength For Tough Times: Developing your Resilience and Wellbeing
Resilience is an important life skill that helps us overcome difficult and testing times that we are challenged with, whether it be at work or in our personal lives. As the “new normal” continues and uncertainty is the only thing we are certain of, it can be difficult to remain strong, positive and driven, especially as we enter the Winter months and into the Festive Period. Our self-doubt and insecurities can spiral out of control and get the better of us, which in turn has a detrimental effect and makes it harder for us to bounce back.
Enhancing our resilience skills means that we can recover more easily from tough situations, challenging life experiences and unexpected changes which naturally helps us to develop mechanisms to shield and maintain our wellbeing.
In this session, our expert trainer Angela Blacklaw, will look at how to build our inner resilience, tackle difficult obstacles that come our way and how we can come out thriving in tough times. We will look at three key objectives:
•Understanding what resilience is, where it comes from and why it matters;
•Considering what happens during the tough times when our resilience is challenged;
•Finally, looking at practical steps we can take to build and develop our resilience and wellbeing.
