Building Better Business Cases

Continuous downward pressure on resources in the public sector within the context of increasing demand for public services continues to challenge public sector organisations as they make important choices about where to invest their limited funds.  In this environment, the importance of robust and relevant business cases to aide decision-taking has never been more important.  This course will provide an introduction to the development of business cases and the key things to look out for when reviewing and challenging business cases.

In this course, participants will explore the key elements of the five-case model, based upon the HM Treasure Green book Guidance on Public Sector Business Cases.

At the Civil Service College, we tailor our courses to each attendee’s role and organisations, ensuring that each partcipant gets the most out of the training. Our courses and trainers are continuously updated and evaluated to ensure that we are always delivering the best service possible.
